I recently bought a timeshare at Westgate Resorts and I feel as though I was completely scammed. I was most interested in the “deal” because I was told we would get 12 Getaways a year anywhere in the US for $139 a week. However this is NOT the case. The getaways cost more like $600 a week and you cannot get anytime – it’s more like times that you would NEVER want! What a rip off. I am currently seeking legal counsel on this matter.

No, most of us don’t get scammed, If you didn’t call them and make arrangements, then don’t expect to get them from somebody you have never heard off. By the way, I’ve got some ocean front property in Tennesse, are you interested in purchasing it, sight unseen? Send check……
My parents tried to do time share but they realized it was a scam for they kept pressuring them to buy timeshares. And my Uncle bought the time share but there are so many regulations, and restrictions. but what my parents and i do is find a browse the site for vacation packages.
This is not new in the timeshare industry. The sales person is allowed to misrepresent the facts and lead you right to a scam. There are a lot of owners in the same situation as you are. Good luck!

and yea i saw the whole interval exchange thing and that was the reason we bought but that is not that case i completely agree so recently I’ve been doing ALOT of research here is basically where a good place to get ur questions answered.
My advice to you is get out as fats as you can before you end up wasting more money thats what i plan to do.
