my single stage air compressor trips on thermal overload shortly after start up. it starts ok but before it goes to higher speed it trips. i jumpered the trip, and the motor start switch that moves between the start and run capacitors jumps from onr to the other before it runs normal. would the run capacitor be bad?
That would be about right, call a local place and see if they can help any further
the second stage is bad
Run cap is bad….see if it’s leaking or shows signs of bulging.
