I’m thinking of putting my clothes, jackets and other stuffs in a vacuum sealed plastic pack so i can bring more of them in just one suitcase when i travel. Is there a danger that the air pressure in the aircraft’s cargo will cause the vacuum sealed pack to suck in air and bloats while in high altitude? I’ll appreciate your advice. Thanks.
They might “puff” a little during the flight, as the pressure outside decreases.
Since the cargo holds on commercial aircraft are pressurized, the vacuum bag will experience very little change in pressure. At the very most, the bag will expand slightly during the flight but will return to normal as the plane descends.
