    10-15 minutes, the seatbelt sign turns off at or above 10000 ft, because below 10000 ft is considered the critical stage of flight when accidents may occur.

    when i was piloting with american, with the old 707′s
    it used to take about 15 minutes or so. If we were pressed for time, we would hold our flight angle a little steeper than FAA
    regulations, but that only cut the time back to 9 0r 10 minutes.
    As I recall seat belt lights would go off at 25000 ft unless weather was a factor. Wind sheer was a terrible problem at times especially when landing , it would scare hell out of the passengers.

    It would take approximately 15 – 20 Min’s for a jet to reach its cruising altitude. Signs usually go off at above 10,000Ft.
