My fiance and I are taking a cruise and want to get married while on the cruise. How do I find out the licensing requirements? We are going to the Bahamas in October.

CALL THE MINISTRY OF TOURISM IN THE BAHAMAS. THEY HAVE PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH THESE KINDS OF SPECIAL REQUESTS. THEY CAN RUSH THE LICENSE AND OTHER PROCESSES THAT WOULD NORMALLY TAKE A WHILE.
IN FREEPORT 242-352-8044/5
IN NASSAU 242-302-2000
You and your fiancee will need to be IN THE BAHAMAS for 24 hours before applying for a license. You can sometimes accomplish this if your ship is stopping in Freeport or one of the private islands before arriving in Nassau.
Then you must go to the Registrar’s office with your ID, divorce papers (if applicable) and apply for a license.

The cruise line can also give you all the info or go to Bahamas website for more info
