How would I go about looking up destination weddings?

destination tips
My fiance and I want to avoid all the stress of planning a reception, so we figured we would like to have a destination wedding. We were thinking about Hawaii, Vegas, Colorado, or Napa Valley because we have to stay in the U.S. because he’s in the Air Force during war time. Any tips would be great!

Do a search online for destination weddings. You will be surprised by what you find. It will depend on what kind of climate you want. I know Hawaii has beautiful destination weddings, and they plan it all for you, cake, flowers, etc. Vegas is also alot of fun…almost any of the nicer hotels offer a wedding package (they are just a little pricey, but beautiful and include EVERYTHING). Or you could just go to Vegas and do the little vegas chapel thing, and have your reception be at a club or restaurant.

I got married in Las Vegas. Me and my then fiance(now husband) just flew up there, just the 2 of us. We just had a civil ceremony (we were frugal that’s the cheapest wedding) and they provide you with a witness if you don’t have one or you can ask another couple thats getting married after you to witness your wedding. After the civil ceremony, we headed to a casino where we ate at a buffet (we called it our private wedding reception LOL). That’s about it. We had a great time! Our “wedding” was paid off within a month.

Me and my husband got married in Vegas. That was “just the two of us ceremony”, though I had a beautiful dress and the wedding itself was gorgeous. They took care of flowers too. We even had a small wedding cake and champain. We have a lot of wonderful pictures and a video. Visit lasvegasweddingatthegrove.com and you’ll see everything yourself.

Those places all sound great! If you really want to keep your stress levels at a minimum, pick a place you’re familiar with. Nothing like trying to find hotel rooms for 20 guests when you don’t know the area. Not a good time to book it all on your own.

Here’s an article that will help you decide if it’s the right thing for y’all…
